The Beginning
I just got myself a brand new Instant Pot Duo80. I am pretty sure the 80 just means it is an 8qt. I am so excited to dive into this new way of cooking. I grew up with my mom having a pressure cooker that is used on the stove. And I know the food she made in it was always full of flavor and super tender.
My plan is to test and try all sorts of recipes with my new Instant Pot. I have a goal to post every Sunday. First thing on the list? Yogurt.
Recipe: found all over the internet with the same general instructions. Very basic.
1 Gallon milk (I am using whole milk)
1/4 cup room temperature plain yogurt (with live active cultures)
Sweetener of your choice (I'm using honey!)
Just follow the instructions on this link Yogurt.
I give this 5 stars! I have on picky eating child, so most of the time his opinion doesn't count. The other 3 kids liked it enough to say they want me to make more. And they think its just as good or better than store bought.
I LOVE the honey as the sweetener. We are not regular users of honey but we have a ton of it. I am so happy to have a regular use of my honey now!
Side note: I mashed up blueberries and mixed them in. I definitely like the fruit I add to be mashed up.
